Classroom Policies

Description
The Education Library classroom, located in Room 1509 of the library, seats up to 22 individuals and is equipped with a SMART Board and instructor/staff workstation/lectern.

Intended Use
The classroom in the Education Library is intended primarily for use by library staff for research instruction, staff training, and library meetings. Priority use for the room is scheduled library instruction. Requests by non-library instructors will be considered when the class lesson incorporates the active use of non-circulating library materials.  Meeting requests related to the College of Education will be considered. The room is not available for general study space or for ongoing, regular academic course meetings.

Scheduling
All requests should be directed to your subject specialist librarian. Requests will be approved based upon availability, session content, and affiliation. Requests outside priority use guidelines may be denied.

Hours
The classroom may only be used during the business hours of the Education Library. Meetings should end at least thirty minutes prior to library closing time.

Food and Drink
Food and drink are strictly prohibited.

Noise
The classroom is enclosed but not completely sound-proof. Please be courteous when adjusting audio volume levels.
